Pasta Carbonara        Serves 4

2 rashers (smoked if possible)
2-4 cloves of garlic
1 medium onion
1/2 small tub cream
salt and pepper
1 tsp mixed herbs
1/2 to 1 full packet of pasta (preferably fresh)
Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 dsp olive oil
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water, drain and set aside. Fry the onion in olive oil for 5 mins. Add the bacon and garlic and fry until bacon is cooked add the cream. Mix through for a minute and then add the egg yolk and cooked pasta. Mix for 1 minute and cover with parmesan to taste.
