Ingredients: 2 cups plain or cream flour 1 cup wholemeal flour 1 tsp Bread Soda 1 tsp salt 2 dsp olive (or other) oil 1 dsp honey or sugar ½ pint (approx) buttermilk (water will do) |
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl and gradually add the buttermilk until a dough forms with all the flour, etc. Place in a greased tin. Cut a groove along the top of the dough ½ inch deep. Brush the top of the dough with milk. Cook at 180 until the base sounds hollow when tapped (30-40 mins). |
